	This News Item has been viewed 3,787 times Lotrfiles Strategy I've been writing up these guides as well as playing a bit of the good old BFME1 to test out some of the build orders and such so I'm hoping to finish off the Isengard guides by today (this is the last one so that should easy ). The Mordor guides may take some more time as they're so many different strategies to use but they should be all complete as I have a lot of spare time now. First up, Isengard is much stronger, their units have better armour, damage capability and with upgrades Isen is unbeatable unless you make some really silly mistakes. You may have the advantage over Mordor due to your units strength, but the 'spammability' of Mordor makes them a force to be reckoned with, as you're loosing your 200 resources worth Uruk-Hai, your opponent can spam orcs for nothing, so don't be too hasty in just throwing your hordes away. You must take map control very early on, you need to get your mills up quick, and Uruks speed is amazing so you should get round your side of the map pretty sharpish and take at least your side over. Orcs are slower so even if you run away from them and start taking other mills, it's not a problem. Just remember, cowards live to fight another day! I got that one off Rome Total War So here's the starting build order you should follow: BO: Uruk Pit Mill x 2 Uruks Mill Furnace Furnace Now I have a different strategy than most other Isen players but I like to make sure that my economy is strong at the start most importantly because you need heroes early, the earlier you get Lurtz the easier you can rank him up against those tasty orcs. I don't mind making a couple of Uruks early on to keep the orcs at bay and taking some of their mills, remember Mordor NEED mills, and so do Isen, Isen is stronger early game so you have the advantage use it, before Mordor goes fast trolls or naz! But remember to creep as well as take spots! The more you creep, the more money you have and you can build Lurtz faster. If you take most of the map control, you really need to start pushing against Mordor, not going all jihad and killing your units but keep the pressure on, don't let Mordor get out of it's base, let him/her make everything inside his base and take up spots. Remember the more he has to build inside his base, the less room he has left for extra buildings such as a haradrim palace or mumak pit. After you get map control, get some x-bows and pikes just incase, get 1 or 2 battalions of wargs to keep things at a fast pace to ride around and crunch any moving orcs. You need to get Saruman, but get upgrades first, so at least you can protect yourself against naz and trolls with fire arrows and heavy armour. After you get your FU units and Lurtz and Saruman, it's time to take the battle to their base, go for the resource buildings at the front, take out any trolls first and set your x-bows on the orcs while your pikes and uruks go for the buildings. Please don't combo x-bows and pikes, it makes them much slower, and it technically makes you loose a whole unit of pikes as they won't really do much.
